1990 Range Rover Classic EV Conversion

In-house build

Job Description

We are building this one for ourselves.

Initial plan is to strip and restore it then convert to electric. The plan at the moment is to use our favourite drivetrain from a Nissan Leaf along with a pack of batteries from the same car – probably a 40kWh pack. The aim with this car is to use it as the local family get around. The Kinghorn family consists of George, his wife and 3 sons plus the family dog, a Hungarian Vizla called Pablo so we need room for all of them. We also need to tow things locally occasionally and this will suit that. Aiming for a range of around 80 to 100 miles.

Subscribe to our conversion newsletter to keep up to date with the build but dont shout at us if it goes slow, as its ours it takes a back seat to the customer projects.

For now here’s a picture of Pablo 🙂
