The car has marks on the bodywork (see pictures and video)

The car has a brake issue where the brakes get soft over time – recently had brake servo replaced by Nissan dealer. We are working to resolve this.

We are getting so busy that we have decided to move to APPOINTMENT ONLY opening – From Jan 12th 2022 we are operating an appointment only system.

In between Christmas and New Year, Stephen from Top Gear magazine came and borrowed the Newbird, Nissan Bluebird EV conversion that we carried out for Nissan and he has written an article about it. He seems to like it 🙂

1967 Morris Minor Convertible Electric Conversion

• 100% Electric
• Nissan Leaf motor/Inverter
• 18 x Nissan Leaf modules from low mileage 30kWh car (12 in rear 6 in front)
• 3kW charger (type 1 input plug in front grille)
• PTC High voltage electric heater element fitted for those chilly drives
• Standard manual gearbox mated with solid coupler to motor (pre select gears before driving – no clutch
• Car fully restored
• Saloon professional converted to cabriolet
• Wonderful red Series 2 interior

We are currently updating the cars battery boxes and wiring so its ready for its new owner.

Back in June 2021 we had the opportunity to work with a local FE college to convert a 1978 Datsun Cherry to electric. The 4 week turn around was extremely tough but as they already has the core parts and also had lots of manpower as they train the apprentices for Nissan, we managed to hit the deadline.
