The car is a 1977 Reliant Scimitar GTE with a 3 litre V6 – The Essex V6 that was also used in a number of Ford vehicles including the Granada, Capri & Transit. For this electric conversion it was decided to use the complete system from a Nissan leaf to convert the car to electric.

One area we forgot to mention in the video and was difficult to show in pictures is that the rear tailgate has a couple of small dents either side of the handle. Looks to have been caused by a bike rack. on the right hand side there was a paint chip but that has been touched in.
